I can't believe that we're already almost 6 weeks into Spring semester. I guess being busy really does make time fly, and the members of Chi Delta Phi certainly have been busy! Through God's help and direction we have grown in number and in presence within the Greek and Bloomington community. On January 12, 2013 We initiated four girls into our sisterhood. They are all very unique girls and bring a different dynamic to the sorority, but one thing they have in common is their love for God that they demonstrate on a daily basis. We couldn't be more excited to join them into our group!
In other news, our philanthropic chair Blair is working hard to reach the $8,000 goal that will go towards Kids Against Hunger. Our sorority will then help pack 30,000 meals that will be sent to Hoosier Hills Food Bank and distributed to those in need on March 3rd. On the social end, the members of Chi Delta Phi are all looking forward to attending the second annual spring semi-formal that will be held next weekend! The theme is "A Night Under the Stars" and should also be a night to remember. Check back to hear how it goes Today also happens to Ash Wednesday, which marks the first day of Lent. The forty days of Lent are a time that we should all look within ourselves and observe our need for a Savior. We should repent of our sins and prepare for the joy that is to come when our Savior is raised from the dead on Easter! Finally, today is also the day that the Hoosiers take on the Nebraska Huskers in one of the final home games of the men's basketball season. GO HOOSIERS!!! I hope all reading have a wonderful week! In Christ, Chi Delta Phi
